Termite

Termites are eusocial insects that are classified at the taxonomic rank of infraorder Isoptera, or as epifamily Termitoidae within the order Blattodea (along with cockroaches).   There are several different types of termites in the world. There are approximately 2,000 known termite species, all of them varying in shape, size and behaviour.

Termites only feed on items with a cellulose compound i.e wood, paper, books, carton box, clothes, structural timber etc. Termite colonies are arranged into caste systems made up of workers, soldiers, and (king & Queen) reproductives. New colonies are started by termite kings and queens that are called winged reporductives or alates. Once a king finds a female alate, the pair shed their wings and burrow into the ground. They spend the rest of their lives mating to expand the nest. All termites are born with the ability to become kings or queens. The king and queen produce pheromones that regulate workers, changing them into soldiers or swarmers based on the needs of the group.

Post construction treatment (upto 6year warranty) for subterranean termite.

Treatment of subterranean termites is done by treating the soil adjacent to or under the building with a product which kills or repels termites. .This treatment consists of drilling holes and filling it with a recommended pesticide emulsion and sealing the holes after treatment. i.e Treatment to wall and floor Junction. Treatment to soil under floor. Treatment to wooden fixtures Treatment to termite tubes. Treatment along the external perimeter of the building

Pre construction treatment (upto 10 years warranty) for subterranean termite.

The soil in immediate contact with the foundation and floor structure of a building is treated with an insecticide which kills or repels termites thus forming a toxic barrier which is lethal to termite entry. Pre-construction anti-termite treatment is done in the early stages of construction so as to prevent termite infestation in the constructed building. i.e Treatment for Masonry foundations & basement. Treatment of RCC foundation (Buildings without basement). Treatment of top surface of plinth filling. Treatment at junction of the wall and floor. Treatment of soil along external perimeter of building. Treatment of soil surrounding Pipes, Wastes and conduits.

Termite Bait system

Termite baits have been used to help control subterranean termite infestations for decades. Termite bait systems (also known as termite baiting systems) can be used as a home’s sole prevention and control method, or in conjunction with liquid soil treatments to control known termite colonies.

Spot treatment or partial treatment

Spot treatment will treat just the colony of termites, applying chemical treatment to kill on contact and poison the food source. It is our goal to kill the queen, larvae, workers and soldiers.
Partial treatment is where we treat the colony and a 10 foot perimeter. This perimeter could be flooring or wall cavities where activity is found. Partial treatment also includes treating the outside perimeter of the home, to prevent future termite entry.
